We’re Crescent Stories, a small photography and film team led by Mohammed Gani and Fathimah Muhamad.
We photograph weddings and meaningful celebrations by getting to know the people at the heart of them. Who you’re excited to see. What you’ve been looking forward to. The things you want to make time for.
The entrance matters. So does the nervous wait before it, a parent adjusting a sleeve, and the laughter at the back of the room.
We follow the celebration and keep an eye on what’s happening around it. Someone starts laughing, the room joins in, and for a moment nobody is thinking about the camera. We make space for that too.
Be with your people. We’re paying attention.
A pause before the day unfolds.Before the day, we talk through your plans, the people who matter to you and any worries about being photographed. That conversation helps us understand where to give our attention.
On the day, we observe first. You don’t have to know how to pose or what to do with your hands; we’ll guide you when it helps, and step back when things are unfolding on their own.
There’s time for portraits, and time to put the camera out of your mind. We want you with your people. The photographs and films should feel like your wedding, rather than a day arranged around us.
You’ll get to know us through the conversations before the day as much as the work we make. Between us, we look after the photographs, films and the experience of working together.

Gani leads the photography, films and visual direction at Crescent Stories. From observing on the day to shaping the final edit, he brings the work together with a close eye for people and how their celebration unfolds.

Fathimah is often part of your earliest conversation with us, helping you settle in, understand what comes next and keeping communication organised. She shapes our social presence and films behind the scenes, noticing the quieter activity around each shoot.
